About Us

Here is a little information about some of the people behind Heritage Haunt!

Rodeffer place

        • Having had the passion since my youth, I've found that many today share the desire to put on a Haunted House. Moving into our home in 2003 allowed for that dream to come true. Today, one can see influences ranging from the old Classic Universal Monster days and Disney styled themes and characters, to some of my own creation. The neighbors have embraced and encouraged our efforts. As a non-commercial neighbor Haunt, we try to make The House on Rodeffer Place appropriate for all ages--without the blood & gore, which people will look forward to visiting each year....but admittedly, we've a constant itch to give a good fright. Heritage Haunt now allows us all to kick the howls up a notch!

            • BEDLAM MANOR HAUNTED HOUSE
bedlamBedlam manor was a non-commercial seasonal haunted house located in the Santa Clarita Valley. Bedlam Manor was an annual event in the Santa Clarita Valley for 13 years. Unlike most haunts Bedlam is non gore- oriented. Bedlam Manor was fright-oriented, there was very little "Blood and Guts". Instead we used high tech equipment and well planned scare tactics.W e were sensitive to small children, and didn't go over the top to scare anyone. Our goal was for everyone that entered Bedlam Manor to have fun and to create a memory that would last forever.

Psycho's Circus

Although the names of my haunts changed over the years,I started in 1970 ,Psycho's Circus of Horror was my last as a non-commercial haunter.I started in the San Fernando Valley at my parents house on Gothic st. and contiued my haunt when I got married and bought my own house. We had a rule atmy haunts, scare well ,scare quick and have fun. I always took the time to bring in as many friends, neighbors and family members as we could handle. It was a unforgettable journey.

CARAVILLA HAUNTED GRAVEYARD

Caravilla Haunted Graveyard was a interactive Halloween experience. We attempted to give our graveyard guests an unforgettable journey into the realm of fear and danger in a safe enviroment. We combined live action and animatronics. We have been producing scares for 12 years in Canyon Country.Although it was geared to older kids and adults, smaller children experienced the thrill without experiencing the fear. Our goal has been to create an ultimate fun experience for all at no cost.

Chewy's Pirate Cove

Avast ye land lubbers …I have to say there is nothing better in this world then looking at all the Peoples face's as they are gazing upon the Pirate ship “Chewy”, as she is anchored  in “Chewy’s Pirate Cove”, which emerges at our house on Langside every year for Halloween.   I look forward to Building “Chewy’s Pirate Cove”  every year at our house, and all I can say is that it is so cool, because I know that the kids eyes will light up when they see it all together, and to me that puts a good feeling inside.  My family and I have been doing Halloween for some time, but I have to say the last 5 years I started getting into pirates, not just into pirates, but building all kinds of pirate props, along with a pirate ship.  I make everything myself, because only I know in my mind how it’s going to look, although sometimes my family gets upset (in a good way) because I get so consumed in the building of all of the pirate props.

Arr matee, not only do we build everything the pirate way, we also live the pirate life for that special Halloween season. We dress up as pirates, we talk like pirates, & sing like pirates, and occasionally we fight like pirates, and we do all of this around “Chewy’s Pirate Cove” that I have built, its just like were in Tortuga, but we just like to call it “Chewy's Pirate Cove”.

This year the Pirate Ship Chewy went into Dry Dock for some retrofitting and she has emerged as a ship that only the Black Pearl could rival, and with her added Canons and Sails, we can lay siege to bigger towns, to plunder and pillage, so this year we are so happy to be part of Heritage Haunt, where we know that we can obtain a bounty of treasure from all those that visit!   We are glad to be a part of their family, and helping with this nonprofit event that benefits our community and schools.  We are looking forwarded to a great Halloween Haunt, and especially looking forward to all of the kids, so avast ye be looken for me ship the “Chewy”, or I be looken for ye, Arri.

Haunted Village

Gavin Dell is an Writer,Director, and Animator for Disney and Warner Bros. and recently for video games. He and his wife have been decorating their house for Halloween for about 15 years with each year getting more elaborate. He started with a haunted porch, and began walking his culdesac as a zombie. The neighborhood kids loved it so much he expanded it to the garage, and then the side yard and the whole front yard. At one point his haunted house would have a line of kids nonstop all night with 6 live ghouls and 7 rooms of creative frights. This is his first year with the Heritage Haunt.

Our Fundraising & Educational program integrates community development, education & much needed funding at multiple levels. The program centers on a high quality haunted attraction seasonal event, however not limited to the haunted attraction.
