Q: What is Heritage Haunt " Hayride of Nightmares " ?
A. Heritage Haunt produced by the Santa Clarita Historical Society and Staffed by Volunteers The Halloween themed event is a ticketed, nighttime, Non-Profit Fundraising Event, at Heritage Junction inside Hart Park in Newhall. Heritage Haunt is Sponsored by Both the City of Santa Clarita and the Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation Department.
For 6 nights in October, Heritage Junction transformed into Santa Clarita Valley's most Entertaining Halloween experience, filled with haunted walk-through attractions, intense scare zones, roaming scareacters, shows and Interactive Display attractions.
At Heritage Haunt , you will enter the world of the paranormal. You will also enter the terrifying worlds of the past, as the ghosts return from the grave and intend to take you back with them in our Haunted Hay Ride. Then, witness the horror as the Pirate Ship Chewy sails into port and lays seige to the Haunted Village, Your Young ones will be amazed and have a great experience in our Pirate Cove and haunted Village, that is far from the terror, so bring the entir family for a spooky good time.
Q: What are the event hours?
A. Event begins at 6:30 p.m. nightly. We recommend that you arrive early to avoid the traffic and the crowds. Closing may vary depending on the crowds, but their will be no more entry after 10.00 pm.
Q. Where is Heritage Haunt located?
A. We are conveniently located right off the 14 (Antelope Valley) Freeway, approximately twenty minutes minutes north of the San Fernado Valley. Exit Newhall Avenue ( formerly San Fernando Rd.).
Our address is 24101 Newhall Ave,
Newhall, CA. 91322 and we are located inside the William S. Hart Park.
Q: Is there an age minimum for the event?
A. No. However, this event is recommended for children 8 and above with some mazes for mature audiences only. We strongly urge parents with children under the age of 8 to reconsider visiting this event with their children. They could be exposed to some frightning material. There are no refunds for this event.
Q: Can I wear a costume or mask/make-up?
A. No. Costumes, masks or make-up are not permitted at the event. Guests wearing costumes will be turned away at the front gate.
Q: Can I leave the event and come back later in the evening?
A. Sorry, re-entries are not permitted.
Q: It's supposed to rain, will the event be cancelled?
A. Yes, however your Ticket will be good for any night we are open, and if we recieve Rain on October 30, we will open November 1st. If Rain continues, after November First, your Ticket will be refunded.
Q: Where can I buy tickets?
A. You can purchase tickets online. Discounted tickets are available online if you purchase in advance. We recommend you get your tickets early, as we expect they might sell out.
Q: How much are tickets?
A. $15.00 at the Gate for all ages
Q: Are there any corporate discounts?
A. Yes, however they must be arrangned in advanced.
Q: Are tickets refundable?
A. Yes, however only under poor weather conditions where we cannot open the following day.
Q: Are there VIP tours?
A. Yes, VIP, Group and private backstage tours are available, however they must be pre-scheduled before the day of the event.

Q: Is there a daytime version of Heritage Haunt?
A. No. However, we do have the Heritage Haunt Pumpkin Festival (Oct 24) that is Free of Charge that has back stage tours and lots of great shows and events for the little ones. Check the Events section of the website for details.
Q: Will there be food available at the event?
A. Yes. Bring your appetite because The Lyons Club will be serving up some great Eats in front of Hart Hall.
Q: Is there alcohol in the event?
A. No, alcohol will not be served nor permitted at Heritage Haunt.
